History of the Lake Forest Police Association
The Lake Forest Police
Association is entering its 77th year of existence in conjunction with the Lake Forest Police Department.
Founded in 1932 by a group of Lake Forest Police Officers, the Association has grown to include both sworn officers and civilian
employees as members. The Association has a rich tradition of donating both time and financial resources to community
organizations.
Purpose of the Lake Forest Police Association
The purpose of the Lake Forest Police Association is to act as a civic organization dedicated to serving the community
through service projects, physical and monetary assistance and activities that promote a better understanding and working
relationship between the police and the community we serve.
How We Do It
The Association is supported through donations from the community
of Lake Forest and also by yearly dues paid by each member. The Lake Forest Police Association members meet one time
per month to discuss new opportunities for involvement in the community, and to plan up comming events.
